TEMPE, Ariz. – There’s a new No. 1 in the men’s national team rankings, while the women’s top spot remains the same, as Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division III National Team Rankings on Monday.
Middlebury (15-1) has won its last seven matches, including a 6-3 win over then-No. 1 and now-No. 2 Emory on March 31st, to move up from No. 4 and into the No. 1 ranking. No new entries to the men’s Top 10 this week, with the No.’s 5-10 positions staying the same as the previous ranking. In addition to the Emory change, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps fell to No. 3 from No. 2 and Bowdoin from No. 3 to No. 4.
On the women’s side, Emory and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps remain No.’s 1-2, while Middlebury moved up six spots from No. 9 to No. 3. Like the men, there were no new additions to the women’s Top 10 this week.
The next set of national team rankings will be released on April 27, 2017.
