(1) Mississippi State, (2) South Carolina, (3) Memphis, (4) Harvard
No. 13 Mississippi State hosts No. 18 South Carolina, No. 22 Memphis and No. 27 Harvard, as the Bulldogs look to return to the National Team Indoors for the second straight year. Malte Stropp (No. 39) had the best fall for the Bulldogs, topping Ole Miss’ Nik Scholtz (No. 15) for the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championship. Ole Miss has one other ranked singles player and a ranked doubles team.
South Carolina (No. 18) and Memphis (No. 21) will battle for a spot in the finals, with each team having three ranked singles players and a ranked doubles team. The Tigers are led by the No. 3 duo of David O’Hare and Joe Salisbury (No. 56 in singles), who knocked off the top-ranked Tennessee team en route to the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Doubles Championship. The Gamecocks have the same top five singles players as last season, along with the No. 24 ranked duo of Kyle Koch and Chip Cox at first doubles to challenge the Tigers.
Harvard (No. 26) is one of the best No. 4 seeds in any of the regions, as every Crimson starter turned in a winning record during the fall. Harvard’s last dual match was against Mississippi State in the second round of the NCAA Team Championships, where the Crimson were able to secure the doubles point before they were swept in singles play.
