(1) Oklahoma, (2) Tulsa, (3) Northwestern, (4) Virginia Tech
No. 9 Oklahoma will be a threat to any team they play this season thanks to strong returners and newcomers at the top of the lineup. Freshman Andrew Harris (No. 37) joins Guillermo Alcorta (No. 5), Axel Alvarez (No. 6) and Dane Webb (No. 40) to form a daunting top four for the Sooners. They will take the court against Virginia Tech (No. 37), who has three ranked singles players in their top five slots. The Hokies won a round at the 2013 NCAA Team Championships, and will look to start their 2014 campaign with an upset.
No. 24 Tulsa and No. 31 Northwestern will do battle in the other semifinal. The Hurricane return four of their top five singles players from last year, who were part of a team that went 16-8 and won a round at the NCAA Team Championships. The Wildcats have not seen much action yet this fall, but will look to debut a very different team lineup from last year with four freshmen on their roster.
