(1) Ole Miss, (2) Clemson, (3) Illinois, (4) Michigan
Ole Miss (No. 10) is anchored by the play of No. 15 Nik Scholtz and the No. 51 doubles team of William Kallberg and Stefan Lindmark, who play second and third singles, respectively. All three players won seven singles matches during the fall and all three qualified for the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
Clemson (No. 25) and Illinois (No. 22) promises to be a hotly contested matchup, with Clemson’s depth facing off against the young talent of Illinois. The Illini sport three Top 35 doubles teams and No. 4 Jared Hiltzik, who is coming off a runner-up showing at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
Michigan (No. 26) rounds out the group, but is without its top player (Evan King) from the past few seasons. Last season, the Wolverines lost a 4-3 match to Cal in the finals of their group, falling just short of qualifying for the National Team Indoors.
