Host Nebraska (No. 25) lost its top player in Mary Weatherholt and has added four new players to its roster, behind returner No. 63 Maggy Lehmicke. Texas Tech (No. 18) returns four of its top five singles players and top two doubles team from last year, and is led by No. 92 Lynn Kiro as well as the No. 25 doubles team of Samantha Adams and Kenna Kilgo, who went 8-2 last fall.
Vanderbilt, (ranked No. 16) is led by Georgina Sellyn (No. 48), who won the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships. Top player Sydney Campbell is ranked No. 78 for the Commodores, and she pairs with Ashleigh Antal as the No. 28 doubles teams in the nation.
No. 19 Georgia Tech’s top doubles team of Kendal Woodard and Megan Kurey (No. 4) will look to start 2014 off as they ended 2013 as winners of the 2013 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
