No. 9 Texas returns its top four players from last year's squad that ended the year ranked eighth, led by senior Soren Hess-Olesen, who is ranked 13th in the ITA Division I Men's National Singles Rankings. Another senior, 48th-ranked Adrien Berkowicz, capped off a solid fall season with an 11-5 record, leading the Longhorns in singles wins. Hess-Olesen and senior doubles partner Lloyd Glasspool are also ranked 51st in the nation in doubles.

Both No. 34 Florida State and No. 42 Michigan will be counting on newcomers to make major contributions this spring if they are to qualify for the NCAA Team Championships once again. The Seminoles feature one ranked player in Marco Nunez (99th), who is also ranked 24th in doubles with top returner Benjamin Lock. First year Wolverine head coach Adam Steinberg has just one ranked player as well, 100th-ranked Alex Knight.

Minnesota (No. 49) finished a disappointing 11-13 last year, but the Golden Gophers top four players are back, including 17th-ranked Leandro Toledo. Minnesota also has a pair of new faces who have cracked the national rankings this season - Matic Spec at 107th Felix Corwin at 117th. Toledo and Corwin also open the spring ranked 58th in doubles.
